How to control the amplitude of electromagnetic vibration feeder?

Electromagnetic vibrating feeders can uniformly, regularly, and continuously feed block and granular materials from the storage bin to the receiving device during the production process. In the sand and gravel production line, it can continuously and uniformly feed crushing machinery and perform coarse screening on the materials. It has been widely used in many industries such as mining, metallurgy, coal, electricity, chemical, food, glass, refractory materials, etc., and the equipment is widely favored. Let's take a look at the method of adjusting the amplitude of the electromagnetic vibration feeder together:


(1) Adjusting the applied voltage

Because the amplitude is proportional to the square of the voltage, the feeding speed of a vibrating feeder is highly sensitive to changes in voltage. In feeders that require a very stable feeding speed, the impact of voltage fluctuations should be fully considered.

‣Variable resistance voltage regulator

By changing the resistance value of the circuit, change the input voltage of the vibrating feeder coil. This type of regulator has significant losses, and changes in resistance can cause changes in the natural frequency, resulting in changes in frequency ratio and unstable system operation.

‣Variable inductance voltage regulator

Its characteristics are smooth adjustment, low loss, but low power factor.

‣Variable capacitor voltage regulator

Its characteristics are poor uniformity and high power factor, and it is often used in micro feeders.

‣Thyristor voltage regulator

By changing the triggering angle to adjust the voltage, the characteristic is that the method is simple and reliable, with low loss, a large adjustment range, and convenient to achieve closed-loop control. It is a relatively ideal adjustment method and is widely used.

‣Using a voltage regulator for regulation

The control equipment is bulky, costly, and the brushes are prone to burnout.


(2) Changing the excitation frequency

The increase in frequency leads to an increase in the number of material jumps, and even if the amplitude remains unchanged, the conveying speed will also increase. In fact, an increase in frequency leads to an increase in the frequency ratio of the system, causing the working point of the vibrating feeder to be closer to the resonance point, which will increase the amplitude. Therefore, adjusting the vibration frequency is also a feasible method.


(3) Change the number of coil turns and the air gap of the electromagnet

Due to the inconvenience of changing the number of coil turns and the air gap of the electromagnet, there are few applications.
