Electromagnetic vibrators

VRV electromagnetic vibrators provide stable, adjustable and powerful power for thevibratory conveying and screening of bulk materials. As the core component of the vibrating feeder, VRV electromagnetic vibrator can be used for the conveying, screening, and spreading of powdery, granular, and lumpy materials in the food, chemical, ore, coal, and glass industries. The VRV magnetic vibrator is installed below pallets, chutes, and pipe bodies. The vibration force acts on the materials through the vibrating frame, causing the materials to vibrate and jump forward. The electromagnetic vibrator features a simple structure, requires no maintenance, and has powerful power. The vibration force can be flexibly adjusted through the controller, and there is no delay in starting and stopping.


The electromagnetic vibrating feeders, as the popular conveying equipment, are driven by electromagnetic vibrators come with corresponding advantages as below.


I. Core Performance Advantages: Stable, Controllable, and Efficient Stable vibration output and strong process continuity: The electromagnetic vibrator is directly driven by alternating electromagnetic force (without easily worn components such as gears, belts, and eccentric blocks in mechanical transmission). The vibration frequency is strictly synchronized with the power supply frequency (for example, the power frequency of 50Hz corresponds to 50 vibrations per second, and high-frequency models can reach several hundred Hz), and the amplitude (usually 0.5 - 5mm) is constant without fluctuations. - For the conveying scenario: It avoids "material blockage" and "material interruption" caused by power fluctuations (such as the uniform progress during grain conveying and no jamming during ore conveying). - For the screening scenario: It ensures that the materials are stably stratified on the sieve mesh and will not cause "uneven screening" or "fine powder passing through the sieve" due to the fluctuating amplitude. 

Precisely adjustable power, adaptable to multiple scenarios: Without disassembling the equipment, only by adjusting the input voltage/current through the controller (matched with a thyristor voltage regulator and a PLC control system), the magnitude of the electromagnetic force can be changed, thereby precisely controlling the amplitude and vibration intensity: 

 - When dealing with fine powders (such as flour and chemical powders): Adjust the amplitude to a smaller value to avoid material splashing. 

 - When conveying large pieces of materials (such as ore and coal): Increase the amplitude to enhance the power to break through the static friction force. 

 - For fine screening (such as grading and screening seeds): Fine-tune the amplitude to balance the screening efficiency and accuracy. Compared with mechanical vibrators (such as eccentric wheel type, which requires disassembling and replacing the eccentric block to adjust), the adjustment efficiency is increased several times, and it can adapt to the switching needs of different materials.

Efficient power transmission and lower energy consumption: The electromagnetic force directly acts on the vibrating body (such as the conveying trough and the sieve frame), without frictional losses in mechanical transmission (such as gear meshing losses and belt slipping losses). The energy conversion rate can reach over 80% (usually only 50% - 60% for mechanical vibrators).


II. Structural and Maintenance Advantages: Simple, Durable, and Low-cost Streamlined structure and low failure rate: The core components only include electromagnetic coils, iron cores, vibration springs, and armatures, without complex mechanical transmission mechanisms (such as crankshafts and bearings), reducing potential failure points such as "wear of vulnerable parts" and "component jamming". 

Convenient maintenance and low cost: It requires no maintenance and there is no need to replace vulnerable parts such as bearings and gears. Even if a failure occurs, the replacement of core components (such as coils) is simple, without the need for professional equipment. The maintenance cycle is usually only 1 - 2 hours.

Small size, light weight, and flexible installation: Electromagnetic drive does not require reserved space for mechanical transmission and can be flexibly installed in different positions of equipment such as vibrating feeders, vibrating screens, and hoppers (such as side-mounted and bottom-mounted), especially suitable for production lines with limited space (such as small chemical equipment and grain processing units).

III. Application Flexibility Advantages: Wide Adaptability and Pollution-free Extremely wide range of material adaptability: Whether it is bulk materials (ore, coal, grain, fertilizer, plastic granules), or viscous/easily caking materials (such as wet coal and raw cement), it can be adapted by adjusting the vibration parameters: 

 - For easily caking materials: High-frequency and small-amplitude vibrations can break up caked materials and avoid blockages.

 - For brittle materials (such as glass particles and ceramic powder): Low-amplitude and slow vibrations can reduce material breakage and lower losses. At the same time, without metal debris generated by mechanical friction, it can be used in scenarios with high requirements for material purity such as food and medicine (requiring a stainless-steel housing).

No mechanical impact and low noise: Electromagnetic vibration is a "smooth alternating motion" without the "rigid impact" of mechanical transmission (such as the impact of eccentric wheels and the noise of gear meshing). The operating noise is usually lower than 70dB (most mechanical vibrators are 85 - 100dB), meeting the noise standards for industrial workshops (GB 12348 - 2008), and can improve the operating environment.


IV. Safety and Environmental Advantages: Low Risk and Pollution-free Safe operation, no fire/explosion hazards: There is no heat generated by mechanical friction (the bearings of mechanical vibrators are prone to overheating due to friction), and it can be designed as an "explosion-proof type" (such as flame-proof coils and dust-proof housings), suitable for flammable and explosive environments such as mines and chemical industries (such as coal conveying and explosive raw material screening), avoiding safety accidents caused by overheating or sparks. 

No oil pollution, clean and environmentally friendly: There is no need for lubricating oil (the bearings of mechanical vibrators need to be regularly lubricated), and it will not pollute the materials (such as food, medicine, and electronic materials) or the production environment due to oil leakage, meeting the requirements of clean production. In general, the essence of the advantages of the electromagnetic vibrator is to "replace mechanical transmission with electromagnetic force", thus achieving the characteristics of "stable and controllable, low consumption and easy maintenance, wide adaptability and high safety", making it the core power component in the fields of bulk material handling, light industry, chemical industry, and mining.
