Overview of basic principles of Electromagnetic Vibrating Feeder

The magnetic vibrating feeder is a relatively complete elastic system with two-point directional forced vibration. The entire system operates in a low critical resonance state. It mainly uses an electromagnetic exciter to drive the trough to perform reciprocating vibration at a certain inclination angle, so that the material moves along the trough.

1, Generation of electromagnetic force: The electromagnetic exciter of the electromagnetic vibrating feeder is composed of an electromagnet (iron core and coil), an armature, and a main vibration spring. When a unidirectional pulsating current after half-wave rectification is passed through the coil, during the positive half cycle of the alternating current, the pulsating current flows through the coil, and the electromagnet generates a pulsating electromagnetic suction force, causing the armature and the iron core to attract each other. During the negative half cycle, there is no current passing through the coil and the electromagnetic force disappears.


2, Trough vibration: The armature is connected with the main vibration spring of the trough. Under the action of electromagnetic suction in the positive half cycle, the trough moves backward, and the main spring of the exciter deforms and stores potential energy. When the electromagnetic force disappears, the armature is separated from the electromagnet under the action of spring force, and the trough moves forward. In this way, the material trough continuously performs reciprocating vibration at the frequency of the alternating current power supply.


3,Material conveying: Due to the reciprocating vibration of the trough and a certain angle between the horizontal direction of the trough and the direction of the exciting force action line, the materials in the trough continuously perform micro-throwing motions forward along a parabolic trajectory under the action of vibration, thereby realizing continuous conveying of materials.

By adjusting the rectified voltage, the magnitude of the exciting force can be controlled, and then the purpose of controlling the feed rate of the electromagnetic vibrating feeder can be achieved.
