During the use of the vibrating feeder, wemay encounter the situation that the feeding speed is slow and the effect is not as expected. How should we deal with this problem? The slow feeding speed of the electromagnetic vibrating feeder may be caused by a variety of factors. Here are some common reasons and solutions:

I. In terms of equipment parameter setting

1. Improper amplitude adjustment: The feeding speed of the electromagnetic vibrating feeder is closely related to the amplitude. If the amplitude is set too low, the throwing force on the material on the trough body is insufficient, and the material cannot move forward quickly. The amplitude is determined by factors such as the current of the electromagnetic vibrator.

2. Unsuitable frequency setting: The working frequency will also affect the feeding speed. The electromagnetic vibrating feeder generally vibrates at a certain frequency. If the frequency is lower than the design requirement, the number of vibrations received by the material per unit time is reduced, and the material transportation speed is reduced.


II. In terms of equipment component failure

1. Electromagnetic vibrator failure: The electromagnetic exciter is the core component of the electromagnetic feeder. If there is a problem with it, it will directly affect the feeding speed. For example, if the electromagnetic coil is damaged, it may lead to insufficient electromagnetic suction. The electromagnetic vibrator is extremely important for an electromagnetic vibration feeder. Be sure to choose a high-quality electromagnetic vibrator. A low-quality electromagnetic vibrator will not achieve the effect and will cost you a lot of maintenance costs.

2. Trough body problem: The flatness of the trough body has a great influence on the feeding speed. If the trough body is deformed, the distribution of materials on the trough body will be uneven. During the vibration process, the movement trajectory of the materials will be disturbed. For example, if there is a local depression in the trough body, the materials may accumulate in the depression instead of moving forward smoothly; the wear on the surface of the trough body will also increase the resistance of material movement and slow down the feeding speed.

3. Spring component damage: The main vibration spring is an important component that supports the trough body and transmits vibration force. If the spring is fatigued, broken or the elastic coefficient changes, the vibration characteristics of the trough body will change. For example, if the spring elastic coefficient becomes smaller, the amplitude and vibration force of the trough body during vibration will decrease, and the material cannot be effectively thrown forward, thus reducing the feeding speed.


III. External environment and other factors

1. Unstable voltage: The electromagnetic vibrator of the electromagnetic vibrating feeder is driven by electricity. If the power supply voltage is unstable, it will affect the operation of the electromagnetic vibrator.

2. Improper installation of the feeder: If the installation position of the vibrating feeder is not horizontal, it will cause the material to be unevenly distributed in the trough body and gather to one side, affecting the normal transportation of materials. Moreover, if the installation foundation is not firm, the vibration generated when the feeder is working may cause the equipment to shift or produce additional shaking, interfering with the stable transportation of materials and thus reducing the feeding speed.

It should be noted that although the frequency affects the feeding speed of the electromagnetic vibratory feeder, from a professional point of view, we do not recommend adjusting the feeding speed by adjusting the frequency. VRV-designed feeders have a fixed frequency. We adjust the conveying speed by changing the amplitude. Because there are many components in the entire vibration system that have their own natural frequencies. According to VRV company standards, we need to check its modal response at the working frequency during factory inspection to prevent local resonance from causing equipment abnormalities or structural damage.
